Troubleshooting - Amplifiers

The Protection light on my amplifier comes on immediately when I turn it on.
The amplifier detects a short in your speaker wiring. Turn the amplifier off, disconnect the speaker wires, and turn the amplifier back on. If the Protection light does not light, your speaker wiring has a short. (176)
When I turn my amplifier on, it blows its fuse.
This is probably due to a short in your speaker wiring. Turn the amplifier off, disconnect the speaker wires, replace the fuse and turn the amplifier back on. If the fuse does not blow again, you have a short in your speaker wiring. (177)
My amplifier will not power on.
Check that the power cord is firmly attached to the back panel connector on the amplifier. Make sure that the wall outlet is functional. (178)
Is it important to observe polarity in connecting speakers to my amplifier?
Yes. Failure to keep all speakers in phase will result in poor-quality audio. (179)
